Organizational Aim Activites

Developing
a proactive, organized collaboration within the community and with
individuals having motor disabilities and their families
  • Maintain
    current membership rate in the ACENA organization, and increase
    membership by 10% over 2010 year-end

  • Provide
    all members a copy of the CE Directory and Annual Membership
    Meeting Minutes annually

  • Create
    a CD of CE Due Process/IEP materials

  • Create
    several dynamic marketing materials, including new ACENA
    pamphlet, exhibitor’s pull-up and CE Awareness Day 2011 items

Offering
continuing education for the practice of conductive education.
  • Hold
    one CE Workshop for Conductors

  • Hold
    the Annual Conference

  • Provide
    access to CE related research

Providing
networking opportunities for those involved with conductive
education programs
  • Provide
    a reception at the Annual Conference

  • Using
    the Forum on the ACENA website

  • Participating
    in the quarterly administrator-conductor call-ins

Identifying
and developing the quality standards of conductive education
programs
  • Create
    the framework for ACENA members to have input in the selection of
    standards

  • Create
    Standards of Practice and Standards of Program Manuals

  • Provide
    a forum at the Annual Conference for program sharing

Increasing
awareness of conductive education as an educational treatment
model for individuals and families affected by motor disabilities
  • Create
    a North American CE Awareness Day with many available designed
    local materials

  • Issue
    three newsletters per year

  • Maintain
    a current website, featuring a host of valuable materials
